MERRY?
I am always amazed, but never completely surprised, when the world takes another attempt at trying to extract Christ from Christmas!
Merry Xmas represents a trend of writing the word Christmas for those who, out of ignorance, do not wish to acknowledge the true meaning of the season - Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter how you spell it, Jesus Christ is glorified throughout the entire Christmas Season. What most don't realize is that "X", in Greek, is an abbreviated form of Christ. So, in actuality, the "X" does acknowledge Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.
Happy Holidays represents a universal approach to the Christmas Season. To be politically correct, many have simply joined Thanksgiving and Christmas together - to make the two holidays seem like one. Some have even included Halloween in the holiday grouping to "not leave anybody out." I laugh at the marketing strategy of one aisle cluttered with Halloween costumes, special effects blood make-up and tombstones; another aisle with scarecrows, pumpkins and harvest leaves; and last but not least on aisle three Christmas trees, lights and nativity scenes. Really!!!!???? Are the stores really making that much more money? Do they realize that they are confusing the children, and at the same time forcing consumers to walk through this "maze of madness!" Who cares about Black Friday Sales! These so called deals have compromised family time and have now made their official intrusion on Thanksgiving Day!
STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!
Just when I thought I had seen it all, Christmas 2015 has introduced a form of deception and disrespect that embraces the lowest standard of manipulation and dishonor! I didn't think that it could get any worse, but NOW there are cards and items that are designed to reflect the word "Merry" only. I ALSO AM NOTICING A TREND OF INDIVIDUALS DESIGNING THEIR OWN CARDS TO REFLECT THE BLATANT OMISSION OF THE WORD CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
NO CHRISTMAS....JUST THE WORD MERRY!
